"Blitzkrieg Bop" es una canción del grupo de punk rock The Ramones. Aparece en el primer single sacado por la banda el noviembre de 1975 en Estados Unidos y julio de 1976 en el Reino Unido. Una de las más famosas canciones de este grupo, que aparece en su primer album llamado Ramones en 1976. La canción fue escrita principalmente por el baterista de la banda Tommy Ramone, y fue una de las mejores debido a su repetitivo coro que comenzaba la canción con "Hey! Ho! Lets go!", hoy en dia el lema principal de la banda, con ritmos pegajosos, guitarras y bajos al estilo punk rock clásico. "Blitzkrieg Bop" es el número 92 de la Lista de Rolling Stone de las 500 mejores canciones de todos los tiempos. La canción ha sido sacada en covers de tributos por muchos artistas, como Rob Zombie, The Beautiful South, Screeching Weasel y Die Toten Hosen (con la colaboración de Joey Ramone).

The Ramones - Ramones (1976)
Ramones es el nombre del primer álbum del grupo norteamericano The Ramones. Pionero del punk, en el disco se aprecian influencias de grupos de la conocida como "British Invasion" (grupos ingleses que triunfaron en EEUU en los ´60, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks....) en general, The Velvet Underground, The Stooges y grupos de pop chicle de principios de los ´60 (The Ronettes, The Shirelles...).
Las canciones son producto de la rebeldía juvenil y el marginamiento que la banda sufría, y están inspiradas en porno, surf, y películas de miedo de Serie B. Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee y el batería Tommy crearon una musica rápida, distorsionada, violenta, pero dulce por las influencias del pop chicle.
Este álbum es comunmente considerado uno de los mas influenciadores del punk y del rock en general y ocupa el puesto 33 en la lista de los 500 mejores albumes de todos los tiempos de la revista rolling stone.
"Blitzkrieg Bop" nunca entro en las listas de ventas, pero se convirtió en uno de los temas referencia de la banda. "53rd And 3rd" esta basada en las experiencias de Dee Dee, el bajista, como chapero.
